Planning a trip to Boston? Here are some of our recs :)
We can’t wait to celebrate with you on Cape Cod!
While San Francisco is home, Massachusetts, and more specifically Cape Cod, holds a special place in Erin and Carlos’ hearts. Erin grew up spending her summers in Dennis and Brewster, MA and the Cape is her happy place. Over the years Carlos has come to love his summer visits, and together the two have established their own new summertime traditions.
Because Brewster is about an hour or so away from Falmouth, many of Erin and Carlos’ favorite places are a bit of a drive. If you plan on extending your trip, we absolutely recommend a trip to the mid-Cape area and here’s a list of our favorite things to do and places to eat!
Things to Do:
Check out the Cape Cod bay beaches
Our favorites include Mayflower, Corporation, Ellis Landing, and Linnell Landing beaches
Take a day trip to Provincetown, MA
Located at the very tip of the Cape, this is a longtime haven for the LGBTQIA community. Tons of fun shops, bars, and restaurants.
Take a day trip to downtown Chatham, MA
Quintessential preppy Cape Cod. Mix of casual and high-end shopping with dive bars and restaurants sprinkled in. You can visit the Chatham Pier to check out the seals.
Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
Cute little museum where you can learn more about the history and ecosystem of Cape Cod. Erin used to be a camp counselor here!
Spend an afternoon or morning in downtown Brewster
Start at the Snowy Owl and grab a coffee; walk over to the Brewster Book Store, then check out the Brewster Country Store
Places to Eat and Drink:
Erin and Carlos’ order - half a dozen oysters on the half shell, 2 cups of Chowder, and the Mate’s Plate 🙂
The Woodshed - Brewster
Dive bar with live music, aptly located in an old woodshed
Great for fried seafood and lobster rolls
Seafood and beers
Great mom and pop diner for breakfast
The Island Blue Crab - Brewster
Seafood and margs
Picturesque and located right on the water; great for lobster rolls
